Barcarolle

Excerpt from the opera "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" (The Hoffman Tales). The barcarolle (or barcarole) is a vocal or instrumental of ternary measure that evokes the slow movement of a boat, since it was originally the song of Venetian gondoliers. This arrangement was written for the Silicon Valley Gay Men's Chorus.
