The Salley Gardens
for choir with four male voices a capella

The author of the poem indicated in a note that it was an attempt to reconstruct an old song from three lines imperfectly remembered by an old peasant woman in the irish village of Ballisodare  who often sings them to herself. This song may have been the ballad The Rambling Boys of Pleasure.

Composed in 1909 and arranged in 2011
Sung in English
