Since 1996, in Paris, Les Caramels Fous, the LGBTQ musical comedy troupe, Équivox, the gay lesbian choir of Paris and Mélo'Men have been organising a big charity event called Les Voix contre le Sida (VCS). Each time, the profits are donated to associations involved in the fight against AIDS.

For this event, the beneficiary associations were Dessine-moi un Mouton, which assists children and families touched by the AIDS virus with life balance issues, and Act-Up Paris, which lobbies governmental authorities on behalf of HIV/AIDS sufferers.
