Journée mondiale de lutte contre l'homophobie et la transphobie - 5e édition

The aim of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia day is to promote awareness-raising and prevention actions to fight homophobia, lesbophobia, biphobia and transphobia. The first took place on 17 May 2005, at the initiative of French activist Louis-Georges Tin, 15 years to the day after the removal of homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses in the International Classification of Diseases published by the World Health Organisation, namely on 17 May 1990.

Ceremony chaired by Rama Yade, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Human Rights.
