Fête de la musique - 34e édition
21 June 2015

concert

On 21 June 1982, Jack Lang, then French Minister of Culture, created the Fête de la musique, inspired by an initiative already tried out in 1976 by Joel Cohen, an American musician specialising in early music while working as a producer at Radio France. This festival encourages amateur and professional musicians to perform on a voluntary basis in the streets and public spaces in order to give a wide audience access to music of all kinds and origins.
