World AIDS Day is an international day dedicated to raising awareness about the AIDS pandemic, established by the World Health Organization (WHO). It has been held every 1 December since 1988 with the support of the United Nations General Assembly.

Participation in the Patchwork of Names. The Patchwork of names is an assembly of textile panels each commemorating a person who has died of AIDS. It was displayed as part of a commemorative ceremony.
